We had a great weekend stay in the traditional lodging we booked in Kyoto. the receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. the location was perfect, with plenty of restaurants, temples, and transportation options within walking distance. We especially enjoyed the convenience of having a 7 eleven nearby and being able to easily spot geishas going to and from a nearby concert venue.
The bedding was a little thin, which made sleeping somewhat uncomfortable. the walls, floors, and doors were quite thin, which meant we could hear noise from other guests.

Our stay at the traditional Japanese lodging was incredible, with a comfortable futon that ensured a relaxing sleep. The location was perfect, within walking distance to most tourist spots and local eateries. We enjoyed the amenities of having a refrigerator in the room and the friendly and helpful staff.
The air conditioning unit was a bit tricky to work, and the bathroom sink was located inside the shower, which made it a bit inconvenient to use. We also found some old food in the refrigerator, possibly from the previous occupants.
